Bart's grandparents- Clyde and Marie Eells

The Next generation

In 1967 Grandma & Grandpa sold the farm on Gopher Knob and "moved into town". In 2004, we bought their place in town and started turning it into a "farm".

Growing up in the greenhouse

About Us

Meet our Family

Hi! We are Bart and Elayne Rayne. We farm with our two kids, Sadie and Lucas. We were just a couple of high school kid in Middleton, Id when we met. We moved to Telluride, CO and lived in a van down by the river, eventually buying and old miners shack 'downvalley'. Tiring of resort lifestyle, and ready to start a family, we sold our home and bought Bart's Grandparents home in Homedale.

Getting started

Starting from scratch in farming is not an easy task, nearly impossible alone. We were fortunate to find an amazing mentor in Beth Rasgorshek. Beth is an organic seed farmer and she owns Canyon Bounty Farm in Nampa, ID. Her greenhouse methods are unbeatable and we credit much of our success to her willingness to share knowledge. Through the generosity of Beth and many others in our farm community, we have been able to support our family doing something we love.

Our market journey

Our first farmer's market was the short-lived McFadden Market Co-Op Farmer's Market in Meridian, ID in 2009. In early summer of that year, we started selling at the Capital City Public Market. In 2013, we joined a group of vendors who left CCPM to create a true farmers market, The Boise Farmer's Market. Our love for the market community continues to grow.

our farm

After many endeavors in the fresh produce world from Mulberries to micro greens. These days our farm primarily focuses on greenhouse production, corn milling, and fall produce. We love trying new stuff so who knows what's next?
